ABOUT

The Pump House Brewpub was opened in downtown Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on September 3, 1999. The first beers on tap at that time were Cadian Cream Ale, Fire Chief's Red Ale, Muddy River Stout and Pail Ale. All of which are still popular to this day. Later that year they launched Blueberry Ale as a seasonal beer, but it was such a hit that they very quickly brought it into the regular rotation and haven't stopped brewing it since.

The brewpub and the beer grew so popular that expansion was necessary. In July 2002, a brewing and bottling plant was built outside the city centre and production began that same year.

In 2005, in their very first appearance at the annual Canadian Brewing Awards (CBA's), the Pump House made a giant splash capturing 9 medals in 6 different categories, included 6 gold and 3 bronze. By winning the most total gold and total overall medals, they won the coveted "Canadian Brewery of the Year".

Currently the Pump House distributes beer all across Canada and in parts of the United States and Europe.

In 2022, Pump House opened its second brewpub in Shediac, NB.
